During the early days of COVID, I fostered a pregnant mama dog named Kaia. Just a week later, she gave birth to seven puppies right in my kitchen — and I documented every moment, from their first breaths to their first wobbly steps. I shared their journey online, and before long, The Dodo reached out. What started as a simple act of fostering turned into a heartwarming story that spread farther than I ever expected.
